Evadnee is a certified Advanced Mountain Guide with decades of experience exploring Africa’s most rugged and rewarding terrain. She is passionate about guiding in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa, where she has spent years traversing its wild, untamed beauty.

For those seeking the ultimate challenge, the Drakensberg Grand Traverse is a 12 day expedition across the full length of the escarpment. From the Sentinel in the north to Bushman’s Nek in the south. A true test of endurance and self-reliance.

An amazing adventure ! Completing both the Drakensberg Northern traverse, and South Africa's highest peak, Mafadi, in one trip! Planning a trip such as this from Dubai would have been impossible for me. Southern Summits took care of all the logistics, meals and equipment from start to finish. When gale force winds threatened to derail our Mafadi summit, Evadnee was able to reroute the hike and we summited despite the adverse weather conditions. Evadnee is vastly experienced, the amount of planning and care taken into each adventure is felt each and every time, I would highly recommend.
Evadnee’s skills are not limited to her knowledge of the Drakensberg. She understands the people she is guiding, and I never felt like she was racing up the mountain just to get to the top. We had time to appreciate the dramatic scenery, swim in the rivers and literally “stop and smell the roses”.
